The annual clergy tax seminar is coming up on Monday, February 25, 2008. It will be held in Bethany Center classroom 20 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon and from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The presenter will be Rev. Deb Oskin, a member at the Living Peace Church of the Brethren in Columbus, Ohio.

Join the Bethany community for worship this Wednesday in Nicarry Chapel at 11:20am. Mark Pickens will provide worship leadership and Brandon Grady will be preaching his senior sermon! Don't miss this special opportunity to come together as a community in worship.

Bethany's weekly Wednesday common meal begins after worship, usually about 12:10. We will start by gathering outside the ESR dining room to "circle up" and share our joys and prayer concerns. We will then proceed into the dining room for a time of fun, food, and fellowship. Hope to see you there!

Earlham College invited Kevin D. Dougherty, PH.D Professor of Sociology, Baylor University to present at the EC convocation on Weds, February 27 at 1 pm. Dr. Dougherty presents new research on American beliefs and values and looks at past debates regarding how religion fits into public life. ESR is welcome and its free.

Our very own Dr. David Johns will present at Peace Forum this week. He will reflect upon "Teaching Theology South of the Border." David has now taken several trips to Honduras, Mexico and Guatemala where is has given presentations and short courses to Quakers in those countries. He has also led an ESR cross-cultural immersion class in Mexico this past January.

What better way to recognize a day that only comes once every four years than with a special worship service focused on the idea of the jubliee!

Nora Richman, Senior Cross Cultural Linguistic Development major will speak at College Meeting for Worship on Sunday, March 2 at 11 a.m. - please join us for a continental breakfast at 10:30 a.m. in Stout Meetinghouse.

Yes, Bethany, it is time again for another program common meal! This week we will be having two of our graduating MA students presenting their work during our program time.
