The service will move through the celebration of nature's beauty and complexity; to the other side of beauty: the aggression and terror of nature.... the ragged side of nature; and finally into the symmetry that beauty itself has in our lives and our role as we find our place in that rhythm.

Join the Bethany and ESR communities in Nicarry Chapel for Meeting for Scripture. Bring your Bible to read from as the Spirit leads us in readings and music.

To summarize, this involves people gathering with their Bibles, beginning in silence, and then when someone feels ready, that person reads a short passage. Others listen, paying attention to what arises for them in response, and then after some quiet another person shares a passage that the first one has brought to mind, either reading it or offering it as s/he remembers it. This goes on with people sharing passages prompted in them by one of the passages they heard.

In addition, the joint choir will sing a choral version of "Be Thou My Vision."
